Week 3 #4 Architecture in Film

The International (2009) - This clip examines a shoot out in the "Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum" in New York. Designed by Frank Lloyd Wright, the building is a staple to organic architecture and the film vivid expresses the intricacy of curves and forms whilst baddies are trying to kill Clive Owen.

Hotel Chevalier (2007) - I decided to include another video, this time a short film by Wes Anderson (a personal favourite). The reason I adore this short film so much, is the vivid and intricate combination of colours and patterns that grant the film both Anderson's trademark stylistic cinematography as well as a sense of visual rhythm and symmetry, and its richness, poignancy and careful construction.
